SMILJANA SRNEC was found guilty on Tuesday in the County Court Varazdin of murdering her sister Jasmina Dominic in the summer of 2000 and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Judge Tomislav Brđanović passed a sentence on the accused. Srnec was found guilty of murdering her sister, hitting her at least five times in the head, which resulted in her death, and then she hid the victim’s body in the freezer in the family house in Palovac. The body was discovered in February last year, and on the same day, Smiljana Srnec was arrested and has been in detention since then.

The judge argued that it’s the highest penalty of the Criminal Law from 1997 when the crime was committed. 
The accused was crying during sentencing.
